Connect Email to Your Team
Set up email forwarding so all your business emails appear in your SignSlip team inbox.
1Choose Your Email Address
- Decide which email address to monitor (e.g.,
support@mybusiness.comorsales@mybusiness.com) - This is the address your customers will email to
- All emails sent to this address will appear in your SignSlip inbox
💡 Tip: You can add multiple email addresses to the same team. Set up separate channels for different departments (support, sales, operations).
2Add Email to SignSlip
- Go back to SignSlip: Team Settings → Connected Channels
- Click "Add Channel"
- Select "Email"
- Enter your email address
- Give it a name (e.g., "Support Email")
- Click "Save"
3Set Up Email Forwarding
SignSlip generates a forwarding email address for each channel. Set your email provider to forward incoming emails to SignSlip.
- Note the forwarding email SignSlip displays (looks like:
forward+abc123@signslip.com) - Log into your email provider (Gmail, Outlook, custom domain, etc.)
- Create a forwarding rule or filter:
- Gmail: Settings → Forwarding and POP/IMAP → Add forwarding address
- Outlook: Settings → Mail → Forwarding → Enable forwarding
- Custom domain: Adjust your MX records or mail server settings
- Paste the SignSlip forwarding address
- Confirm the forwarding
4Start Receiving Emails
- Send a test email to your business email address
- After 1-2 minutes, it should appear in your SignSlip inbox
- Click on the email to see full details and AI summary
- Reply directly from SignSlip — your response is sent from your business email address
⚠️ Important: Keep your forwarding rule active for the channel to work. If you disable forwarding or delete the rule, new emails won't reach SignSlip, but you can always re-enable it anytime.

Troubleshooting
Emails not appearing in SignSlip?
- Check that your forwarding rule is active in your email provider
- Verify the forwarding address is correctly copied (no spaces or typos)
- Wait 1-2 minutes — there may be a delay
- Check your email provider's spam filter — SignSlip forwarding emails might be filtered
- Try sending a test email from another account
Why do I need to forward emails?
SignSlip uses email forwarding to receive messages without requiring your email password. This keeps your credentials safe — SignSlip never stores your real email account details.
